Cap d'Agde, Hérault
Cap d’Agde is in the department of Hérault, which borders onto Aude.
Set on a promontory on the Méditerrancan at the top corner of a long, sweeping bay, Cap d'Agde is one of the biggest leisure ports on this coast.
A continuation of Agde, a couple of kilometres inland, until the 1970s Agde consisted of just a few holiday houses. Developed from then, it is now a modern port, with an active fish quay, moorings for a seemingly endless number of yachts, and a full range of nautical services.
To the north of Cap d'Agde is the naturist village - Port Nature, Port Ambonne, Heliopolis and Port Venus - with a mile of beach and many businesses.
